Southern California - longer climbs in OC/south OC

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

At the gate to Maple Springs Road, I see quite a few dirt bikes (motorcycles) going up there and then down Holy Jim Trail. I hiked up Maple Springs Road and its good enough for riding.
Silverado road itself seems dicey with some but not all cars and trucks just going too fast. The road gets narrow as you get closer to Maple Springs Road.

Which is whyI rather mountain bike the trail starting at the Gate. The road is even scary for cars but I see roadies all the time. Bless them!

Rallison, have you ever hiked or driven to Holy Jim Trail? Ask your mom about that one.
