This was posted at Slowtwitch. I've never been there but I hate to hear about businesses closing.
--------------------------------------------------------------
You're hearing from me first so that the rumor mill doesn't burn off of the chart. After many failed attempts to work with our landlord and continual drops in sales the past 6 months, we are officially calling Sunday our last day. There have been great times and not so great times but the people that I have met and the relationships that have developed from having this shop will stay with me forever. It's sad that I have to sit here and write this to the very community that helped put my shop on the map. Whether your experience was good, bad, or indifferent, I want to say Thank You for walking through our doors. Without going in to a deep discussion about the whereto's and whathave's I want to say that the vendors that have been in my shop are the best. SCOTT, Cannondale, FELT, Pinarello, Jamis, Yeti, and Guru helped form us and our identity. I love this industry, this sport, and all of my friends that I have talked to about their first GU, or fitted them on their first tri bikes. It's been a true pleasure to own and develop Ladera Cyclery, and again, I Thank You ALL.

What a bummer!! Jeff you ran a great shop. Thanks for all the effort you and your employees put into it. Good luck in your next venture.
