Anyone care to share your thoughts on this type of pedal for the cyclocross bike.

Keep in mind I don't race. I use the bike for commuting, road riding, and light trails.

It'll do fine. But it's spelled pedal.

I was not sure about the spring loaded clip in regards jamming or wearing fast. I want the ability to ride with both MTB shoes and street shoes. It is also nice knowing that if the something happens to the clip on the one side the other side still has a clip till you can fix it.

I raced on these last season and they were great. When the pedals clogged with mud/sand/whatever the platform was very handy. Plus you can use a standard shoe for short trips.

For platform/clip I really like these:

I believe that pedal has a clip on the one side only.

Nice pedals. Very similar to the Eggbeaters Mallet. One uses SPD the other one a different cleat. Either is very retro looking, which I like.

Hey I like that pedal to. Is that type of cleat as comfortable as the SPD? I am thinking for when the I use the bike for longer rode rides.

I had these very pedals and when I tried to ride on them with some Salomon hiking shoes, it felt like the pedal's binding was pushing up through the rubber sole of my shoe. Rather uncomfortable, I wouldn't want to ride that way for more than a short distance.
If you look at the pedal from the side, you can see that the binding doesn't sit flush with the bmx-like platform but rather, the binding is rotated about 30* from horizontal.
I see another poster likes his jsut fine with street shoes but the above has been my experience.
