My company is flying me out to San Diego tomorrow for the next four days. I think my free day is Tuesday, and I told them I wanted to rent a bike. Boss did some homework and friend of his recommended these guys (http://www.nytro.com/rentals_s/340.htm) for a bike rental, so I think I'm going to get a road bike and go for a spin.

Anyone have any links to ride sheets or destinations I should try, for a quick half day ride? I'm a pretty crappy climber, so no mountain death trials please, but under 3500 feet of climbing I should be able to manage without dying.

Nytro is on Hwy 101, so you could do the SDBC saturday ride route (but starting and finishing at Nytro) which would be about 45 miles and maybe 2000 feet of climbing. A nice ride, some riding along the ocean and some nice inland roads. http://sdbc.org/core/template.php?page=ride.satride_route_ab

You can just ride up and down Coast Highway without encountering too many hills.

If you're here on a Tuesday, you should come down to the Velodrome and watch some racing. I just hope it doesn't rain on opening night.
