Hi, I commute daily a short distance to work in the city, rain or shine or snow (this is Canada, but I have to say snow is very rare in Vancouver city). Thought I'd try to get this recycler Baycrest Tornado 12-speed bike roadworthy, because it is very light and has an interesting antique look to it. I'm guessing it's from the '60s or '70s. The cross-bar is a pair of parallel thin tubes. Hit on your forum googling "Baycrest", looking for pictures, maybe some literature to learn anything about this model. If you know an archive source for publicity or technical info, I'd like that.

12 speed probably makes it early 80s. Baycrest may be a house brand name for the Husons Bay Co store. It sounds like a mixte frame as shown here http://www.cyclofiend.com/cc/2006/cc128-dougshaker0706.html Post pictures and ask for advice on the Classic and Vintage section.
