I don't believe in snow. It will not snow, and I will ride this week.

50 and sunny here foretasted Wednesday and Thursday. Think Ill take a pass on Monday and Tuesday though. I bet Crimson will be out riding though.

Have you ever had to assemble bikes? It's a punishment.

A customer asked me the other day if we worked on commision, and we're not supposed to say, so I just said "It's less of commision, and more like the salesman who has the least amount of sold bikes assembles them"

I assembled one Friday....that was enough for me and it was a kids bike.

kids bikes are the worst. Every time I sell one I'm both happy and sad, because I know I'll probably have to build another one.

Nope.....Majority are built upstairs. If we have an extra wrench working who is just building bikes and nothing else he may work downstairs but that's not the norm.

Im turning wrench for Orrville Cycle and Fitness and I will agree about the kids bikes. Nothing like trying to true the wheels on a 12 inch bike.

i got a whopping 17 miles in this weekend. i will ride this week. though maybe not the next 2 days. Race saturday and i'm hoping its stays dry

We had a discussion the other day about one of our reps who used to rep Trek and I said "Well that was probably an easy job. He probably just walked in, looked around and told them what to buy, and if they got lippy he'd pull out the "Trek" red pen."
I'd imagine it isn't far off the mark.

Ill be in Pittsburgh at the inlaws over the weekend. Luckily they live right on the old Murrysville Classic (http://www.usacycling.org/news/user/story.php?id=34) course!
The course has a few brutal climbs and nice smooth country roads. I love it out there.

This title should read as "Spring canceled in Midwest" as it's snowing pretty good here this late evening here in Chicagoland. Think we're going from winter to summer by end of month...watch.

typical cleveland spring going on. i read somewhere 60 and nice on sunday. kind of get use to the snow, and wonder what it will be doing the next day:popcorn

No commute yesterday or today, after rocking 4 out of 5 last week, but this is typical for April in the Oh. Right?

rode today anyway 36 miles in lots of snow, it can be done, one good thing is that the temps are high enough to keep the snow from sticking and building up on the roads.

Here in Raleigh, Sunday, Apr-5, 84F in the pm. This morning, Tuesday, Apr-7, 36F around dawn. Tomorrow morning, Wed, Apr-8, 32F at dawn.

Summer to Winter in 36 hours.


I used to live in Kansas City. One night a couple of colleagues from Wash, DC were visiting, so we went out to dinner. We were having a good time talking (they were late 50s / early 60s, I was in my 40s), and they were oblivious to the coming weather because it was 59F and pouring rain. Managed to get them to the hotel and me home by 11 pm, still 59F and pouring. Come 5 am, it was 9F, and the ground was covered with ice and snow and what all. Spring to Winter in 6 hours.


Back to the present. In the 70s by Thursday or Friday. Winter to late Spring in 48 hours.
