I just got home from a 3 hour ride. A combination of gravel and paved roads. I was wiping my bike down when I noticed my frame is cracking at the water bottle threaded insert on the down tube. I don't understand. I have never seen a failure like this. I have never crashed the bike. I see cracks also starting on the upper waterbottle cage threaded insert. The bike is only a few years old, bought new. Not ridden much compared to my mountain bikes. Anyone seen something like this before?

Dropped frame off at LBS I bought it from. I don't shop there anymore, switched to another LBS. They seem pretty positive it's warranty. I wonder what colour the replacement will be? Some talk it might be the rebaged Gary Fisher version. It won't match the original fork.

Anyways to console myself I ordered a Yeti ARC-X. SWEET!!!!! The Lemond will become my back up bike.
