I have an Ultegra BB (English threaded) that I want to remove. I don't remember which way to remove it. Is it the same as removing pedals, where it's counter-clockwise for the drive side and clockwise for the non-drive side?

Can't answer for sure, but most BB's on which I've worked are counter-clockwise on the drive side. But it should be noted that this is the OPPOSITE of the threading on pedals (counter on the NON-drive side; don't want anyone busting a nut turning a pedal the wrong way).

English threaded bottom brackets, the drive (right) side is reverse threaded. The left side is threaded normally. This is opposite of the threading on pedals. Both sides on your bottom bracket will loosen toward the front of the bike and tighten toward the rear.
