i bought a new 08 RockHopper. Im loving this thing come compared to my old bmx bike. First thing after i got bike, my dad and me took it to are local trail. Um i hit a tree and thats the only thing so far..

I was thinking the same thing. Either the seat is too low or he is on too big of a frame.
