Hi All,

I'm CW from the Seattle suburb of Lake Forest Park. I just tried out a Townie 21 spd, and found it refreshingly upright, and fast. Thought I'd introduce myself after lurking for opinions and such. :lurker:

I grew up in Sequim, with a lot of different bikes to help get around since I was five. I'll always remember my first blue kid's cruiser bike with the silver glitter banana seat! It was run over though :notamused:

My bikes are of the Kona ilk: '95 Fire Mountain, Metallic Dark Forest Green (stolen:cry:)
'96 Lava Dome, Metallic Orange
'99 *****, Banana Blue (so-o-o-o fast, my personal fave)

I'm mostly a commuter guy, with the occasional foray into local events such as Chilly Hilly or Haul Ash.

Take care!

Sorry about the stolen bike! And welcome to the forum, even though you don't have the monopoly on rainy weather. It's been a crummy Spring here in New England too. Looking forward to some sunshine! :)

Hi Suzie, thanks for the welcome. Just had a great sunny ride today, broke a spoke, hobbled home!

Hi CW! Always good to see someone from LFP chiming in. It means one more person who (probably) doesn't appreciate the nonsense from the city council in regard to the BGT.

What do you mean, rainy? It didn't rain yesterday, and it's looking dry for today too  .

Time to get out and ride :D .

Welcome to BikeForums!

I've learned not to trust any news about the BGT since someone sues or goes to appeal... ugh.
Almost a year later since first posting and I haven't heard anything about BGT. Haven't actively looked though. Too much BS. Rode the Burke in the Haul Ash 2010 and got a sweet Red Hook bell. Yay. Thanks for the welcome East Hill.
