You can get 9 speed XT shifters from Performance bike for $64.99 -20% coupon=$51.99usd. $109cdn doesnt seem that great for 8 speed..

Well too late I bought em. Never a good idea to compare US prices to CDN EVEN with the exchange. Shipping + duty and taxes make it more expensive the majority of the time. Plus I don't want 9 speed. If I'm trying to be cheap why would I also spend $ on a new cassette, chain etc..?
The closest I could find was a store that would try and prder some for me for $130.
