Looks pretty decent, but is it worth $295? If not, what would be decent price?
I live in Los Angeles, and I've heard these types of bikes go for 50 bucks each. Is this true?

I can't speak for LA's bike market, but I would say no. I would expect a higher end model for that price like a Superbe or something with a Brooks saddle.
I would think 100.00 might be more appropriate if it was in excellent condition.

I would say it is worth $100 to a maximum of $150.00

In the area I live in , some used bikes bring big $$. I sold a ladies Raleigh Sports, 1967, in very good condition, for $150. It had a leather Brooks saddle, but no rear rack.

To me, no. To someone else, maybe. Price, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. I live in the Los Angeles area also and agree with the others that $100-150.00 would be about max for it. $50.00 for a model that is in need of some serious clean-up and/or refurbishing. Nice bike though. Make an offer of $150.00 CASH and see what the seller's reply is. You may be surprised by going home with a new bike. PG.
For what it's worth, last summer I bought a matching pair of Raleigh Sports, men's and women's, in very good to excellant condition. These bikes were extremely well cared for, both had Brooks B-72 saddles, the same rear racks and the typical vinyl bags attached to the saddles. Paint was in great condition and the tires were new. I paid $125 for both bikes. IMHO, $295 for the bike pictured is way out of line. The light is not standard equipment for the bike. I would say that the bike is worth $100 at most.
