I finally managed to snag me a Raleigh Twenty off of fleabay. From the pictures it is pretty original, but not in showroom shape. However it is the green which I wanted. Now I have a hat trick (or a pretty good imitation of one) Bronze green Raleigh Superbe, Bronze Green Raleigh Twenty and a Bronze Green Raleigh Compact RSW:lol:

Nice! Love the apehanger bars - we never got such a deep curve on UK bikes...

Interesting on the bars. Actually the other style is preferred by most people, but I need some that sweep back. Already planning on some gentle modifications for it.:thumb: Things like an AG hub, alloy rims and better brake pads, replace the tires, add generator lights and probably a Brooks B66.

Neither here in Oz....must be inspired by a certain American rebel motorcycle movie....Peter Fonda?

I can just see our US R20 owners pootling around thinking they're on a chopped Harley :D

The Twenty has many simmilarities to a Raleigh Chopper.
I built a Chopper out of a Raleigh Denim. An 18" wheeled Shopper
I fitted Mk 2 chopper bars and seat and a pair of 20" alloys with a 3 speed shimano hub and twist grip. Looked ok. Had my first experience of loosing the front wheel going round corners on that. Not much front end grip
