Early season rules = No ripping any legs of until after the first stop.
Seriously it's quite a bit slower pace and shorter distance: 18 mph at 198 watts for 34 miles versus 21 mph at 245 watts for 50 miles in mid season.

What if I have no clue what my wattage output might be. How will I know if I can keep up?

If you don't have a power meter to measure watts. Go by rate of perceived exertion. Put it in a spread sheet, and mail it out to those of us with power meters. We can then do a side-by-side comparision and tell you if your RPE matches our wattages.

Sorta...
My buddy is bailing on me. He said he wants to bring his scooter home to work on that instead. What eve...
As for me:
I've got a baseball game to shoot in Woodstock at 10am for the paper then i've gotta do some "real work" stuff from 1-2:30 in Crystal Lake.
I'm not sure what i'm going to do. If someone was interested in checking out Bull Valley though, i'm def. going to be riding at some point.

Probably going to be riding up in Bull Valley Saturday afternoon if Aham gets his self up out of the southburbs. I hear he's having a wild party tonight while the family is away. Couple of Diet Vanilla Cherry Cokes and a slice of thin crust pizza and you know he'll be down for the count.
Bull Valley it is. a bit to early in the season for a 5am wake up and 615am rollout. plus, like Cy mentioned i am in full party mode. the ladies are out of town while i take care of the sick dog. rode 31 miles this afternoon, polished off a Pepe's burritto and DQ Midnight Truffle Blizzard. next up is the new Bond flick at the AMJ Cinema. party on dudes. later.

It's not like his Carbon Wonder Bike broke or anything. It's just his spine.
