All,

I was wondering if anyone can give their experience on the Florida Half Ironman bike and run course in Orlando. Everything appears to be pretty flat on both bike and run with a few rollers, is that correct?

Thanks,

Ian in SD

That pretty much sums it up mostly flat with a few small rollers.

is it part of the same route for the full ironman? If so, I think my friend said he gained something like 120 feet... over 112 miles.

The half is at Orlando, the full is at Panama City.

I think the only elevation you gain is when the mosquitoes pick you up and fly away with you.

The bike section is okay. The run section pretty well bites as it is three loops of what is essentially an unpaved service road. Throw in the heat factor and you have a real party.

Going to Clermont this weekend to get used to "rollers"
