Coleen and I were out rumaging through the pawn shops today and found a Trek 1000 in one of them. They are asking $325.00 for it. It looks to be about a 2000 model or so. (Has the odd shaped crome stem) and a Red, white & blue paint job. Shimano Sora group. The bike is in good shape, but didn't ride it. So, do you think its worth the price? Not that I am going to buy it, but I do have friends that may be interested.

This is the first roadie that I have seen in the local pawn shops. I hope it becomes a trend. :D

Thanks,
Bob

If you buy it for 325.00 and sell it for 500.00, it's worth it. ;)

If it is in anything less than showroom perfect condition, I wouldn't pay that much. The current model =lists= for $569.

I found a Trek in a pawn shop yesterday too :) £400, full Tiagra, probably too big for me, but I wanted it anyway.

325 is too much. I'd only pay 200 at max for a used trek 1000, especially a 2000 model.

Yeah I should be. But I've been riding in the rain on my commute all week. So took Saturday off since the rain continued. Snow this morning.

I thought it was a bit on the high side as well. Thanks for confirming that.
