Today while riding my bicycle away from a subway a car pulls up next to me and a woman says, excuse me.
I say yes?
She says, can you spare some change, my car is almost out of gas.
OK, so follow along with me. A car owner asked me, a strange guy on a bicycle who doesnt own a car, for gas for her car. Is it me or is that nuts? Where is pride? How easy is it for these people to ask for money. BTW that was the 2nd person to panhandle me today, riding a bicycle must somehow indicate wealth. I would rather walk on my knees across broken glass than to ask a stranger for money. How do these people get so at ease with begging?
Oh, in case you're curious i didnt give her any money i told her that if she's almost out of gas it might indicate it's about time to walk.
