Introductions - Greetings from M-Town
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hey everyone on the list! Greetings from Missoula, Montana where it is butt-cold today! I am just a guy who has had enough of lugging 2000 pounds of metal with me everywhere I go. So, my 2000 pounds of metal is up for sale (let me know if you are looking to buy 2000 pounds of metal). Have I said 2000 pounds of metal enough?
In a major life simplification, I am buying a touring bike, unloading a huge amount of unnecessary "STUFF", and not looking back. I hope to meet each and every one of you terrific folks. You'll see me-- I'll be the one ridin' and smilin'.

Welcome to Bikeforums!
I'm glad that riding a bike is going to be part of your life changes! I'm sure you'll enjoy it - you seem to have a good attitude. You can get plenty of good advice in the Touring forum if you need it. Keep posting! :)
Congrats on your decision to change life styles, but I don't think Missoula at this time of year is the best place to start touring. I'd wait till Spring. But WELCOME to the forums and hope to hear a lot more from you about your plans etc.
Nice name Manderax. Welcome to the Forums. :)
Welcome. Good idea to buy a tourer. Nothing better.

Welcome to the forum! Montana huh? Reminds me of a few yrs. back when my friend biked alone from Washington (state) to South Carolina. He slept just off the roadside somewhere in Montana with coyotes howling him awake all night in the cold.
Welcome and keep us informed on the travels!
