Does anyone know who makes high polished silver aluminum rims? I'm not talking about department-store bike type rims but something more "serious" like Rigida ZAC, Mavic, etc.

I've seen high polished silver aluminum stems, seatposts and bar-ends but I don't think I've ever seen a rim like that. Seems like all rims are either black or the common shade of silver. A friend of mine has a really nice looking high polished silver aluminum stem from Kalloy (http://www.kalloyuno.com) on his bike. The bike has been through rain and snow, left outside, etc. and there is NO sign of corrosion on it! It also doesn't seem to require any specific care. I've only put some wax on it like two times just because I was waxing the frame anyway. It would be really cool if you could have a rim like that, very neat looking and almost no maintenance. :)

Weinmann used to make rims like that but the factory that produced them blew up.

A lot of the Sun rims are nice and shiny. I just got a new 700c road rim and it's quite shiny. Get some polish and a buffer and you could probably really make it bright.
