I've got a creak that driveing me crazy. One thing I'd like to do is remove the crank arms and retorque them. I have Derore Hollowtek arms that mount on a square bottom bracket. What should I torque those down to? Do I need to put grease on the sufaces before remounting and torqueing them?

According to parktool.com (http://www.parktool.com/repair_help/torque.shtml)'s torque spec chart you want 305-391 in lbs of torque on those crank arm bolts.

Barnett's Manual (http://www.bikeforums.net/barnettes/barnetts_ch20.pdf) says 390 in lbs.

Grease the bolts.

Do not grease the spindle or the crankarms.

Repeat: Do not grease the spindle or the crankarms.
