Advocacy & Safety - Jeff Mapes interviewed on KUOW's Weekday

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Jeff Mapes just published a new book called "Pedaling Revolution: How Cyclists Are Changing American Cities". He was interviewed on KUOW's (Seattle Public Radio) weekday. I haven't read the book yet - it's on hold at the Library, but the interview was interesting. Free podcast available here:

I've been told by Jeff that I'm in the book, but I haven't looked yet

I met Jeff, and got a copy of his book at the national Bike Summit in DC a few weeks ago. Great person, and the book is really good. It's a nice, concise history of the cycling advocacy movement in America, and a good comparison of our problems with the way similar issues have been confronted in other countries.
Well worth the 20 bucks, imho...
