It's pretty much just those two trees at the moment, but give it a week or two.

Beautiful. Once the cherry trees begin to bloom it happens pretty quickly. I was there yesterday and only saw a hint of pink. Lots of pink popping up in Central Park too.

I was doing loops of the park tuesday morning and the trees behind the museum were blooming, so I decided to take a ride to the Cherry Walk that afternoon with my camera thinking that they might be blooming as well. Saw the same as you. Should be great by next week. FWIW I was back in the park this afternoon and all the tulip trees behind the museum were in full bloom and smelled great!

Very nice!
Is that the bike path along the west side highway?

Also a really nice spot is over here (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Manhattan&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=54.093296,88.330078&ie=UTF8&ll=40.853748,-73.92801&spn=0.012757,0.021565&z=16), all new cherry trees in the last few years. Few were blooming yesterday.

I noticed another couple right where the new section ends and the old section picks up, North of Fairway. I don't remember them from last year.

There are a lot more blossoming today. Didn't have a camera with me though. With the warm weather coming they should be at their peak by early next week if not sooner.

I was through there myself today. Much better than gray ice and slush.

So was I. Just beautiful!
Busy day in the city with the MS Walk and other unusual sites.
About 200 cyclists from Amsterdam wearing everything from jeans to suits with orange vests that say "I Am Amsterdam".
A few miles away I rode past a group of nuns on bikes wearing billowing white habits and blue headcovers.

Quite a mixed bag.

Noteon, was that you with the kids in tow today coming downtown at about noon?

No, but I gave that guy a thumbs-up, and I gave the Amsterdamers directions to the 79th Street Boat Basin bathrooms. You and I must have been within hailing distance of each other.

Even saw the old guy where they are extending the path along the river yelling "wrestle me" as I rode by.
