dude, im unemployed now and for the forseable future, but ill pitch in to help you buy that if you agree to ride the ms 150 with me this year if you carry all the gear...100+lbs of gear.

Their questions section says they carried 600lbs of cargo on a bamboo bike, so you'd probably be fine.

That said, aside from the novelty factor, I'm not sure why you'd get bamboo instead of a steel frame for significantly less (and send the $ difference to the charity of your choice if the charitable aspect was important to you).

I should have been more clear, sorry. I found the concept of me riding bamboo funny. I just bought a bike that I am IN LOVE with and I am guessing the wife would not be to keen on me buying ANYTHING else.

It IS a pretty interesting bike though:)
