Two underacheiving riders finally pull one out.

Moreau wins Tour du Languedoc and Chavanel takes the Tour of Belgium.

Laggard..Chavanel and Mercyx are two of my favorite pros...I like to back the upcoming figures that might have a bright future 5 years from now. Besides, for some unknown reason, we choose our favorite teams..I shall hope for Bonjour for as long as they don't exist...
I shall proudly wear the Bonjour jersey for as long as anyone recalls who they were.
Chavanel an underachiever. ? What he has been a pro for 2-3 years. His UCI stats are decent.

Underachiever may not be the wrong word for Chavenel. As there have been many promising French riders who didn't quite pan out, I was probably looking ahead.

Moreau has just had too many injuires. He looks to be on form now and I predict a top-5 TDF finish for him.

Congratulations to Moreau and Chavanel. For me, the most memorable moment of Sylvain was when Lance dropped him on the way to the summit of Luz Ardiden, but not before patting him on the back as if to say "nice try".

Laggard, Top 5 finish for the TdF sounds about right.

Seems a suitable enough word. I took it to mean that these two riders seem to have a potential that might not be fulfilled - because of injury, team priorities, or whatever else.

Moreau's great. And he appears to be in good shape, from what we've seen so far this year. I dig that pick, Laggard. I was intrigued to see it in the TdF thread.

It's about time a French rider won something

Chavanel is like only 24..Give him a break..So many cyclists don't achieve their peak until about 30..Could be correct about Mercyx..Think he is approaching 30...Have some loyalty to him..In the winter's he trains locally...Everyone who has met him say he is a great person/cyclist.
