Same components on both, giant carbon fork, trek aluminum fork. Ride very similar.
Giant is compact frame design, trek is traditional.

I'm stuck.......help!!!

Have you rode both?

I found the trek more comfortable but its all preference.

I was sort of wondering the same thing. Anyone have any opinions on the Trek 1000?

I had 4500 miles on my Trek 1000 before I upgraded to a TCR Composite 2 this year. I rode both and found them to be so similar I just bought the Trek, as I prefer that bike shop a little better (although I bought my TCR from the other one). The compact geometry fit me equally well as the traditional geometry of the Trek. One thing the Giant has going for it is the carbon fork. The aluminum fork the Trek has always left me a little wary when I was decending (mind you, there were no bad experiences with it, but it just didn't feel all that stiff.) I don't think you could go wrong with either bike, so it might come down to a flip of a coin.
