The difference is $2 and an extra mode (SOS). It seems 22574 has better heat-dissipation.

Find one with 2 or 3 modes maximum.

People on here are always complaining about having bought multi mode torches.

I think that's mostly relegated to 8-mode nonsense. The first torch I posted has 5, second has 4. Though I really like the fins on the first one but I don't like the extra SOS mode.

I'm not sure how fast the fast strobe is on that light, but it's more than likely to be faster than most bike specific strobing front lights.

I wouldn't worry too much about the cooling. it's more than adequate on a bike with a constant airflow over the entire flashlight body. unless you live in really hot areas with +30c constant with midday sunlight beating down.

personally I'd just get the one with the larger diameter lens and deeper reflector depth, but they're probably the same on the inside.

There is also this one priced in between the others, a 5 mode but SF-23. What would be the difference between SF-22 and SF-23?

Just looking at the little beamshot pic, this model appears to be a tad brighter and seems to have a slightly bigger hot spot, but I have no idea how accurate those shots are.

How can you tell by looking at the information table how one would be better at dissipating heat over another model?

I use one that is exactly like the bottom light.. Super bright, mine is a 2 mode which is fine.. Puts out 50-60 minutes of constant light on high, drops down a mode for another 10 minutes then you have to change the battery.. Good Light, no issues with mode switching, have about 50+ hours of usage and still going strong.. Heat is not an issue if riding at night..

I mount my light with lockblocks and have no problems.. The top light (22574) might be an issue with lockblocks since it will be strapped more toward the center/back and than center/front with model 22567
