I'm a tall guy who has been researching internally geared commuter bikes that can stand up to Michigan winters. I figure its about time I register here and start posting since I've been reading the site for so long!

Hi swuprube,

Welcome to the Forums. I'm a Michigan native, east side of Detroit, currently a year round commuter and occasional centurian here in Boston. I always like to say Hi to fellow cyclists in Michigan. Where are you from and what is your commute like?

I live in the Downriver Detroit area. My commute is easy, only three miles, but I ride my bike around town on the weekends too.

I've never ridden in the downriver area, but there was this recent thread about it: "route adivce request"
