well on monday my blurs pivots began squeeking ever so slightly i didn't pay to much attention too it i figured it was some freak thing cause it never squeeked before and on my previous ride i did several creek crossings so maybe i needed to do a cleaning. but on a group ride on wednesday it got worse and by the end of a 23 mile ride my pivots were poping on every pedal stroke (the most irritating noise ever, takes the fun out of a great ride) i bring it by my LBS and they said they needed to service my pivots and possibly replace some bearings. so thats one down, today i took my back up FS rig (uzzi slx ) out on a pretty technical trail and on a long rocky downhill i hear a poping noise and then a loud ggggrrrrrrrrraawwwwwwwww i stop and do a bike check all looked well until i spun my rear wheel and my rear hub was shot it almost felt like it was grinding inside. i was still able to ride it back to my car but the rear wheel sounded like busted a$$. i figure my bearings went bad oh well the wheelset it 2 years old and has several hundred miles on them if not more. two bikes in one week thats not good i hope i can get the blur back next week cause i was planning a roadtrip to tahoe next week and was planning on bringing that bike. i still have my steel hardtail single speed and my roadbike to spin around on so i'm not completely screwed but my 2 FS rigs are on disablity.

Talk about bad luck. Hopefully you have better luck with your other two bikes.

Sounds like my ride on Friday...
I've been riding a friend's bikes (HT, FS) lately while feeling out what I like for when I buy a new one soon. Well, the last time we rode, I was on his FS and the rear disc brake started grinding towards the end of the ride - we went to see what the problem was on Friday, fiddled with it and eventually took it to the LBS and found out it was just the pad. We didn't have time/$ to get the pads, so we took it back to his place and he grabbed his SS and I rode his HT.
We had a pretty good ride, but his crank on the SS kept getting noisier and noisier and on the way back to the car , the rear derailleur on the HT popped off, tangling itself up in the wheel. So, he was down 3 bikes in just a couple days. Not fun at all.
