A Shimano 105 STI rear derailleur brake/shifter is needed. Send me an email if you have one that is in primo condition and you want to turn it into some cash.

Nice little replacement business for Shimano, selling only complete sets of shifters/cables etc when 90% of the time it is the rear shifter that fails.

one more reason to switch back to downtube or bar-end shifters. those things never die!

You're absolutely right. The bike with the shifter that's gone south only has around 8,000 miles on it. Don't think I'm still not considering just throwing a DT on it for the rear derailleur and a Shimano Aero brake lever up on the bar for the rear brake. Thank goodness I built my other road bike with DTs. That's what I'm riding now anyway.
