I just bought my first ever bike..Its a Trek 4300..im willing to get into the sport a little more..so can anyone help me on how i could make my bike a better bike..Any upgrades recommended for the bike?

hes not going to do any drop over 2-3 feet for a while, hes gunna be rough on it but nothing insane. he might hit a few stairwells.
i reccomend a new fork if you want to get more into the sport and maybe step above 2-3 foot stuff and get more rough.
thats my guess, am i right?

Uh... no.
My recommendation is riding the piss out of the 4300 until something breaks. As you ride more you will find what in the bike is a weakness for you, and will know to upgrade accordingly. As someone who just got their first mountain bike, its very pointless to upgrade until you have the handling skills to push your gear to its potential. Even then I would say rather than spending $300 on new fork, $150 on a new drivetrain, etc etc, put money away for a new upgraded bike. You will get better components all around at a price you couldn't touch if you were piecing it all together yourself.
