Nope, but if I did, my odds would be about .00000018%, on the off chance that the rest of the field had mechanicals and I somehow still managed to finish. 5 times up that damn hill is brutal.

On of my teammates made it his goal race. I told him I'd help him in any way I could if I was still there after the first lap :p I think we will have 4 or 5 guys there. I should probably register... :p

I'd even go to help the prof, but it's too far.

Seeing as how I weigh more than 100 lbs, I'm gonna sit this one out.

However, I'll be at the crit the next day.

I have to be in Fresno for family that weekend. Which will put me closer to the finishing group than if I started the race.

I wrote a report in the race report thread but basically I got popped at the top of the climb on the first lap but caught back on. Was popped for good up the climb before the feed on the second lap and finished 33nd. There were 47 finishers but I know a lot of guys must have pulled out.

Yeah, I received a spanking in the 3's as well. I got dropped the first time up, then worked with some others to get back on. Then I got dropped again the 2nd time up, and stayed dropped from the front group. Finished probably 30th. What a workout.

Typo, I meant 32nd... I finished with another guy so you must have been right ahead of us, so you must have been with me on the second lap and I didn't stay with you on the last climb...

Probably. I remember a Platinum guy (46 I think). I ended up finishing with the Helen's rider and the rider in Orange who's team I don't know. I was number 24, blue jersey, unattached.

An especially humbling moment came that last time up when I got passed by the P/1/2 field, and the guys at the front were having a conversation while I was experiencing maximum suffering at 3-4mph less than them.

Yeah that was me. I remember you. I just didn't have the motivation to hang on during the last climb... Yeah, the pros were chit-chatting behind me the entire time up the climb and through the feed zone, and then finally decided to pass me at the corner at the top. At least one of my teammates was in the break with Landis. :thumb:

He got 20th I think. Chester got 2nd.
