I asked about the rusty chain, especially since "the bike was actually only ridden one time and that was to get it to my store so he could sell it". I guess they forgot to mention that it must have been sitting outside the rest of the time.

I love the "pro" designation on that ad (and on the bike) and it is not the seller's fault (since it is there) as much as Ironman (the brand) selling out... I cannot imagine a single pro competing in an Ironman competition with that thing...

That might actually be an okay bike, but it looks to be a comfort/hybrid type bike, not anything anyone would EVER use for any kind of competition. So it seems pretty odd to have the Triathlon and Ironman designations on it.

I've got a low-gravity bike made in India (newish bike). That's the kind of bike with the big basket on front and the small front wheel, otherwise known as deli bike, cycle truck, etc. But the stickers on this one say "Mission Commando". I can only imagine that the factory ran out of the right stickers and stuck whatever they had on there.

I don't get it. Is it priced this high because of all the added components?

For sale here I offer a custom built late 1980's Women's Schwinn Bicycle. This bicycle is the only one of it's kind ever built and it is in Pristine condition. There are virtually no marks or scratches of any kind. The frame is a 17 inch woman's frame so it is built for a shorter rider. It is a Schwinn Traveler frame in a beautiful custom RED color that is stunning in appearance. This bike features a Shimano 105 deraillur and upgraded rims which are in perfect shape. The tires are original Schwinn Passage VR gumwalls and are also in excellent condition. This bike has almost NO mileage on it whatsoever. Original black GrabOn grips are in great shape and saddle has been replaced as of this year with an updated Avenir Comfy seat which is supremely comfortable. I can take additional pictures of this bicycle or better yet, come and see it for yourself as pictures don't serve the bicycle it's just due. This is an outstanding road bike and buyer will be very pleased with it. Tuned up at Sport's Authority this past summer and ready to ride, just add air. Bike comes with water bottle and pump as well. I know a guy who "offered" $200 on a BIN price of $600 for a Schwinn Superior. The ebay lister accepted his offer! Beautiful bike too.

The craigslist ad here was initially for a panasonic titanium bike...I went out to look at it, and it was high tensile steel with exage and a kick stand. After telling them the bike wasn;t titanium, the people told me that's the risk you run with craigslist, as though they were justified in wasting two hours of my life and transportation costs. I asked the woman by email twice if she was SURE it was titanium before I left, both times she answered yes. Her husband informed me he assumed it was because it was so much lighter than his huffy.

No wonder they didn't place photos. If anyone would like to waste their time, like they wasted mine, feel free to email them and set up an appointment.
