View Full Version : How do I not subscribe to threads

Every time I post in a thread, I start getting spam in my email inbox because I "subscribed" to that thread. I looked at my user control panel and there doesn't seem to be any way to stop myself from subscribing to every thread I post in, so I have to go in there and manually delete every new subscription if I don't want to get bombarded with spam.

Is there seriously no way to get around this? And why would it be the default option?!

Anyway, if anybody knows how I can avoid this (or just have the forum settings changed) let me know...

Go into your User Control Panel.
On the left, under Settings & Options, click on Edit Options.
Under the Messaging & Notification section, find the Default Thread Subscription Mode option. Change it to whatever you feel is most appropriate.
When you're done, make sure you click on Save Changes at the bottom.

Jude,

I just changed your settings for you to do not subscribe. That should fix your issue, and thanks tj for helping him as well. :D
