I feel like a bit of a climb. This was the first big climb on the Gran Fondo route and I want to give it another go knowing I can do much better. It's a pretty nice ride out & back once you get out of the city. The actual climb is about 8 miles varying 4 - 8% grade.

Meet up at Santa Fe depot in downtown SD. We will roll about 9:30~9:45 ish. That's the earliest I can get down there unless someone wants to swing through Esco and pick my carless behind up. Any takers?

I am doing the NCCC group ride on Saturday. I was planning on doing my longer ride Sunday.

Are you doing the San Clemente (formerly Honey Springs) 200K in May?

Hadn't planned on the 200k. I may be busy that weekend.

Which NCCC ride are you doing on Saturday?

The longer "regular" ride. It's a little over 40 miles.

Hmm. I'm thinking I may just join in on that. Been thinking about it for some time now. Might as well do it.

I went last week for the first time. The group was a little small (13) due to the holiday, but everyone was very nice. And I didn't get dropped, which is always good. :)

I hear there is a really grumpy guy that rides with NCCC.

I think he rides on Sundays.
