Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hey, I'm not a cheapskate, but finding tires at a decent price is something of a chore. My car tires don't cost as much as my bike tires do.
My major problem is size. I can find plenty of 700x23, but 25 or 28 sizes are something of a rarity.
Does anybody know where I can find good quality tires in this size w/o paying an unholy sum. Already checked Pricepoint and they didn't have any 25s or 28s last time I checked.
Thanks

Try biketiresdirect.com, I find that their prices are pretty reasonable.

How about $4.95 for a 700x25 Hutchinson, which is a reputable brand.

I suppose it depends on what kind of tire you want and what you consider to be a decent price. Bike Tires Direct and World Class Cycles sell some higher-end tires at good prices, if $30-40 strikes you as a good price. I gave us riding 25 mm Conti GP 3000 tires because I couldn't get 900 miles from the rear one. In the fall I bought a set of Michelin Axial Carbons in a 25 width from World Class Cycles for about $39 apiece, which included tubes. The Michelin 25 mm tire is absolutely wider than the Conti 25 mm.
