The Davis Time Trial has started again. Here's the email from Joe Santos of Davis Wheelworks for the kickoff-please check with him if you have any questions:
This Wed, March 25th is the first Putah Creek TT of 2009. The TT
starts at 6pm and is free of charge. We will be running the TT's every
other week from this point forward. Please arrive 20-30 min early to
sign in. Positions will be assigned first come first serve. Please
remember your assigned position number, because you will be
responsible to call it out as you cross the finish line. If you miss
your start time you will have to wait until all others have started
and we will fit you in at the end. When waiting to start, or upon
completion of the TT please stand off of the side of the road in the
clearing. This is important for the safety of everyone participating
and to maintain the cooperation of local residents. If you plan on
driving to the TT please park your car on Stevenson's Bridge Road as
far onto the shoulder as possible. This will have the least impact on
local traffic as well as participants of the TT, other cyclists, and
again allow us to continue to have the friendly cooperation of local
residents. If you know of anyone that would like to be added to the
TT e-mail list, just have them shoot me a message.

Course: The start of the course is approximately 100m down from the
intersection of Stevenson Bridge Rd & Putah Creek Rd. The course is
dead flat, 5 mi out, 5 mi back. The turnaround will be marked and
there will be someone there to flag it.
Rules: Riders are sent off in 30 sec intervals. Please make sure to
stay to the far right of the road, as the road is open to traffic. Be
especially careful around corners.
NOTE: Please be extremely aware of NOT blocking the road or any
driveway when we are out there. We're already not well liked on the
course, so let's keep local dissatisfaction to a minimum.
The next TT will be Wed April 22nd, at 6:00pm, the Putah Creek Rd
course. Check out Hors Categorie Cycling Photography for some awesome
photo's from Mark Adkison. He took some different angles this week,
so there are some of you that may want to add to your collection.

looking at results for the Davis TT at stuzio.com. It's a very cool
site with all the happenings in local cycling - check it out.
See you all next time.
