Where do I get them purty angled quill stems? I did my "over-torque" thing and blew the stem binder bolt on my fixie. The stem is old old old so I don't think I'll be able to find a replacement bolt. I have a feeling all the bike shops around here are going to try to sell me a threadless adapter and new stem. But I like the quilled ones. Any good online sources?

On a side note: Which one of you #$%&*('s put a hex on my mobility?
In the past 2 weeks:
1) My car crapped out...it now overheats constantly instead of occasionally.
2) My Fixie stem binder bolt snapped.
3) My Bottom Bracket on my roadie crapped out.
4) The guy that replaced the BB didn't torque the cranks down enough so they creaked...I fixed that
5) The seatpost collar on my roadie snapped tonight
6) the grocery getter is down for mild repairs

The only transportation I have that is up and running is my $12 from goodwill early 80's Miyata MTB with 2.1 big ass knobbies that aren't a lot of fun on the road. Although you would think they are from all 40 pound FS rigs I see on the streets.

Tally up:
1 Car down
1 Motorcycle down
3/4 bikes down

and the cicada are rotting and stink

ebay, businesscycles.com, sheldonbrown.com, bikecult.com, blah blah blah..

oh, and about your three out of four bikes and motorcycle crapping out??

B-O-O-H-O-O...I only have A bike...

2 of my bikes came from goodwill. 1 came from a garage sale. 1 from a bike shop Motorcycle hasn't run in 4 years and the car is likely going to goodwill

When live gives you rotten cicadas, make cicada-ade.

And don't worry, there's a diversion bound for Cincy...in the name of fix

I saved an old Cinelli stem from the parts bin of a favorite bike shop. It has a huge 1 degree or so of drop and the reach is a lot shorter than the other stem and it looks cooler (always a plus) I certainly didn't have enough money for those fancy stems they're way too expensive. The stem set me back a whopping $10 To whomever it is that upgrades constantly and leaves good parts lost and in need of a good home, I thank you heartily!

What size do you need? I have a new Nitto Technomic I think it is a 90. I'll check if you are interested.
They are $30 retail, I'll let it go for $20 +shipping.

Yea! ebay! Got a nice used Sakae stem for like $1... Keep looking, you'll find one.

Also: Momovelo.com. Not cheap but good stuff.
