Howdy and welcome to the forum. All the miles are good, just get out there. If you're just out for fun, relax and enjoy. If you're trying to lose weight or get fitter like some of us, don't just meander around, tear around. :)

I was at River Legacy this morning. It's a great place to start. I bought a bike in September and began with 6-14 miles. Today was 18 miles round trip from my house.

I'll see you out there.

I took the back roads from 183 and Central.
I got there via Trinity to Greenbelt. I don't know about safe, but its a way there. ;)

I've also been exploring the 4x4 off-road trails by the river. They're interesting.

You will be surprised at how quickly you increase the mileage.

Another place to check out is Bob Eden Park in Euless. Its on 157 at Mid Cities Blvd. It connects to 4 other parks for a lot of enjoyable riding. There are concrete paths, crushed rock paths and dirt trails.
