Cyclocross - Do redline conquests usually have harsh rides?

I bought a redline conquest pro a few months back (2004 model, all aluminum w/ aluminum fork). The bike has a full DA 7700 group on it, and I recently upgraded to an EC90X. Ive gone through a ton of saddles, but the bike just always seem to ride "harsh." When Im clipped in and going fast I dont notice as much, but seeing as I want to use this bike as my long distance road racing bike in the off season (cant afford two bikes) it gets uncomfortable. Is this a result of the frame or something else? I already have some fairly fat 32's on there to soften the ride a bit, but I dont think Id want to ride it with something skinny skinny.

I've rode a friends Redline once for a longish ride and hated it. Might be a good candidate for cross racing, but I wasn't a fan on the pavement. I have a Tricross Comp that I love riding on the road. Done many centuries with it. It doesn't get much road use anymore since I now have a dedicated road bike.

What might help is changing the fork to a carbon model and maybe the seatpost.

I already changed the fork to carbon (Easton Ec90X) which saved some weight, but seemed to do nothing for ride quality. I didnt intend it to much anyways, as I never bought into the whole adding carbon to reduce vibrations trend. I know many aluminum supposedly have decent rides, is my frame just designed for intense racing and is therefore very stiff? Or designed badly? Or?

i have an 09 conquest pro and a 2009 giant tcx & i will honestly say the giant is more compliant although the redline climbs a little quicker , good luck

I lowered the tire pressure a bit ( I was running, full 32's at like 90 PSI, go figure). At 60-70 the ride is much, much better
