BMX - easy way to tell apart 14mm and 3/8" axles?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. i'm not sure what my axles are (i know they're not 10mm), and i want to get pegs, so i need to figure it out. is there an easy way to do this, without calipers?

A 14mm is really big compared to a 3/8".

14mm is about 9/16". 3/8 is 6/16 of course, and you should be able to visually tell a 3/16 difference on a ruler or tapemeasure. Basically, if it's less than 1/2" on your ruler, it's a 3/8 and if it is more, then its a 14mm.

I like your style.
Another way of looking at it is 3/8" is only about 9.5mm

Shadow sucks! Plegs, kinks, animals, or odysseys ftw.
