If the weather is good I'll be doing it. I was just riding around Mt Gretna today and Rt 117 is really nice since they paved it.
Yes I'm Signed up and have booked a hotel room. My riding partner and a team member will be there too. I'm looking forward to riding in that part of the state. I've been a Pa resident for life, and have never ridden in the Eastern Half of the state below Williamsport. I'll be riding A White Orbea Onix and wearing a Team Type 2 Kit.

If you ride North of Williamsport you will find the 3900 feet of climbing pretty easy - the 100k that measures 69 + miles might surprise you. I have done this ride every year since it started and it has been well done by the Hbg. Bike Club. I did hear the cadets will not be doing the rest stops this year because of severe budget restraints. Hopefully a good weather day.

I don't usually have much faith in long term weather forecasts, BUT, the forecast for Saturday is just about perfect for a bike ride. It's suppose to be up into the mid to uppers 70's. I guess that means I have to put the second bottle cage on my bike.:thumb:

I can't wait! I'll have 2 30oz. bottles and my 100oz pack! More water than any human will need!!
Hahah, joking aside, I'm excited to do this ride.

I worked at the rest stop on S. Mt Pleasant Rd.
What a great ride!!!
Does anyone know the route details for the "extra hill" section on the Mt. Gretna loop?

I was curious about that extra section also. When I saw the sign my brain said, "Hmm, only four extra miles and 700 ft of climbing, I can do that." Luckily my legs had more common sense and told my brain where he could go stick itself. If I had done the Mt Gretna loop first my legs might have been willing, but I did the Fort Indiantown Gap loop first and by the time I got to that detour my legs were a little wobbly.
