Hey All,
I am in need of your sage advice. I'm searching for a chrome straight blade fork, preferably threaded and drilled for a brake. Oh yeah, and at a reasonable price as well (this is the hard part). I’ve had much difficulty finding one either at my LBS or online. Bike Works in NYC has one on their website for 55$ which sounds great but they have not responded to my email about specifics. Can anyone guide me in my search or possibly have one in their bag of goodies?
Cheers
Chris
Look for an old Colnago fork. They were all straight bladed and drilled for brakes.

Check out the Kinesis Airfoil. I've always liked the look of it. Nice and shiny, too.

hah airfoil...i know where there are a ton of them in the bay area...and they probably wouldn't cost all that much...they're kinda ugly though. i got a 650c version along with my straight kinesis fork, so i'd have options, but i decided i didn't want the airfoil, so i sold it to my friend who had a raw KHS aero track (the aluminum one)...it looked sooo sick.

I've got a Colnago straight blade on my road bike. I think it's made from Prestige tubing. It has a very nice ride. It wasn't real cheap though.
hey cynikal...you should just go ahead and call bike works...I just got a frame from them through the mail and I had emailed a few days before I ended up calling...on the phone I spoke to a guy named Dave who was very nice and very helpful..I think they're just probably too busy to answer emails because after I started talking to him, he asked me if I had emailed him regarding the frame. they probably got your email, they just haven't had a chance to write back...I'd suggest calling.

Where in the Bay Area. I'm not too far away. BTW how much are they? It would look good on the right bike.

trips for kids in san rafael. when i was there for an interview, there were about 4 or 5 that i counted. one was still in the plastic...and at least one was labelled litespeed. yeah, i don't have a clue how much they wanted for them. or if they were brand new or anything like that...but probably not too too much. i've heard that trips for kids kind of over-prices some things though...
i have a new tang'e prestige chrome fork fits a 53cm, but its not straight!
