Wow, that thing has some serious capacity! I'm not really familar with this type of machine, but would expect it would work alright... looks like a reasonably simply and reliable design. Can you try one out to get a better idea?

"Transporting people & goods" - You're the first I've heard having such criteria for a recumbent. There are indeed many different styles of recumbents but almost all are designed for recreation, touring, commuting, etc. Hauling a serious cargo load, though, is something entirely different - you have a commercial purpose in mind? Hauling melons or something like that?

This bike can have a seat for two built right in-that can unbolt in minutes-being able to transport people or goods.
I want to start a pedi cab business around our town square.
6 or 7 city blocks of 3 story buildings -all store fronts with nook stores ,restaurants etc.
I can get people to advertise on the back -giving free rides around the square(on weekends, holidays & special events) working for tips only.-
that's how most get around the taxi cab laws.
so what do you think- is possable to haul, in the reclined position-or shouod I look into an upright bike?

The picture at the linked site is down, have you looked at http://www.organicengines.com/
they sell some neat looking cargo/people style recumbents and it is quite an entertaining site (one shot shows a bloke hauling a large trailer yatch behind a trike).

This is more of a work bike then a ride around town bike.
