Northern California - I'm looking for an easy, rolling hills ride in Sacramento for tomorrow

I wanted to do the Bike Around the Buttes thing but we aren't going to get to the Roseville area until about 8AM and won't be able to start riding around 10AM. Kinda late for the BAB, I think. So now, I'm looking for another ride. It'll just be me and my wife, who's not ridden very much at all this past couple of years. Any ideas? We can drive to the start of a route. Looking for something in the 25 - 40 mile range.

Bummer that you're doing it tomorrow. I changed my ride to Sunday afternoon.

Send me a PM or e-mail with a more specific area in Roseville and I can plot you a route on MapMyRide.

If you can make your way down to the American River Bike Trail, it would be great for someone that hasn't ridden too much (as well as for those that have!) It's pretty flat except for a slight incline toward Folsom Lake.

Unfortunately, I'm not too familiar with Roseville.

Thanks for the offer to map out a route, Joel. We'll be visiting the in-laws near Sutter Roseville Med Ctr off Eureka Rd.

I forgot how flat and long the ARBT is. Thanks for the idea, nasv.

I'm still bummed about missing the BAB ride.

Here's a 34 mile route. I haven't ridden all of the roads, but have been on the vast majority of them. It's a bunch of rollers. http://www.mapmyride.com/route/us/ca/roseville/124124002180664633

Wifey and I rode the ABRT from Beals Point to Nimbus. Nice ride and not too crowded at all. Man is it hot in Sac. It was between 83 and 87 depending on where you are on the ABRT.

That's the truth. It broke 90 today.
