Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I just got a flyer that advertises “Hal’s 24th Annual Boston Marathon Day Ride,” starting at 6:00 AM from the front steps of the Greater Boston Central YMCA at 316 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA. According to the flyer, they then ride to the starting point in Copley Square. It’s a 52 mile roundtrip ride along the Marathon Route. FREE, but you must sign an agreement form that can be downloaded on the website. For more details see:

I have ridden through Hopkinton and it’s a nice area, a sleepy little town, so it would be really cool to see what it looks like on Marathon Day. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it. :( If you go, just tell him that Jim sent you.
