Messing around with the stills on my video/still camera (GoPro) in an non-scored race today. Yields some interesting shots, but when the clouds roll in the images get awful dark (unusable). These were shot early when it was still nice and sunny.

Hope you guys all had a good weekend of racing.

Those aren't too bad! A bit grainy (noisy) but the shutter speed is plenty fast enough (the spokes are stopped).

Nice. :)

COOL! Where did you get the equipment?

nice to see people behind you instead of an empty road ;)

Thanks.
I had no idea how these images would look at full size. As John points out there're pretty grainy but work for internet quality work. I'll toss 'em some videos at the end of the season as well. Editing can be a bit of pain, I think it shot like 1900 photos yesterday (one every few seconds).

The camera is from GoPro. I think the model is the Hero 5, it's got a wider angle lense than previous models. MSRP is $189ish. I sngged mine off eBay at the end of last season. It works reasonably well for both stills and video for casual use. I'll play with it a bit more as the season goes on, my dork status be damned!
