I have a question that I really don't know the answer to. How much weight can an aluminum bike, such as the Bianchi D2 crono, handle? Would it handle a 300lb guy? My cousin is looking at one and the subject just came up.

Check in the Athena/Clydesdale forum.
There's one post from a 330 lb. rider of a Specialized Allez and other comments about using the right wheels as critical. Your LBS might be able to help since they sell to all sizes of people.

Probably no issue with the frame. You'll want to make sure there are strong wheels though.
