Touring - tour-ready racks

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I'm leaving for a 5 day desert tour tomorrow, and need to get a new rear rack as the Trek rack that came with my 520 is scaring me.
What are some good options without spending too much? I know the Blackburn Expedition is good, but my Serratus panniers supposedly need a smaller diameter tube to clip on to. I saw one called Delta Mega for $30.... Not sure if it's any good or not. Any other ideas?
Thanks
I replaced my 520's rack with a Jannd. Has held up well on a 150 mile, 2-day trip and several 50-100 mile day trips with a pair of Arkel t-42s strapped to it.

Seems like I paid less for mine through either Nashbar or Performance.
The Planet Bike Eco Rack is a good cheap rack. It's $25, and 3 of the 4 bikes regularly used in my family have one. As an added bonus, it's also light.

Jannd. I agree, the rack that came on the 520 was a joke. I like the Jannd a LOT better than the blackburn expedition, which I found to be not really much better than the trek stock rack, in terms of lateral stability. The Jannd is way heavy, though.

Ive had a Jannd on the Screamer for about 30,000 miles, when on tour the rack is loaded with about 60lb of gear. I would also recamend Old Man Mountain racks.

I too have the Jandd Rear Expedition. It's good. Costs about 50 US. It's worth it, imo. It's longer than most of the others and it's pretty tough. If you are really going to load up the bike, or are just worried, get a steel rack. But they are very expensive.
