Hi,

I just got a Shwalbe Marathon Plus as a spare tire, and I was wondering if it is possible to fold it in a figure 8 and then in half to carry as a spare?
Because it seems like it's a really rigid tire and I wouldn't want to kink the bead trying to fold it and ruin it (too expensive!)
Has anyone ever done this with a marathon plus?
Thanks

That's the way to do it, but I haven't tried folding a Marathon yet.

Yes it works like any other tire. There is a knack to doing it without kinking the tire. Just go carefully and practice.

I just did it with one that I took off my bike (didn't like them, so heavy and they ride like an anchor).
