I would really apprciate getting help with information on my Miyata 600GT, the cataloges don't seem to show it.
Some details, not triple butted but?, 7 speed Shimano Altus components, triple crank ( 46-36-26) with Shimano bar con indexed shifting, unknown date but the serial number is CH65088 on the down tube. Sized downtube to be 54 cm c to c. Has all the braz on's for front touring racks and rear racks. Also labelled "Made in Canada" on head tube
Got this for my daughter for a planned bike tour that never happened and as far as i know i am the second owner. Now taking up space and i would like to learn more about it, possible value?? and then find this nice bike a new owner who will use it more.

Thanks rob

Date the parts to be sure. http://www.vintage-trek.com/component_dates.htm

As I recall the 600GT was a 1 year only bike (1990). That makes it a 100 year aniversery bike. Yours may be very late in the year because the catalog shows it as a lugged bike.

Value......Ebay it may bring $300. Craigslist I would expect $200-250 if there happens to be somebody that likes Miyata's.

The 600GT was available until at least 1993, which just happens to be the year it was spec'd with Shimano's new Altus C10.

What up with the joints on it? They look like Peugeots DBS joint.
